Motor Insurance

Road Traffic Act (RTA)/Third Party - is compulsory cover that ensures an insured meets
the statutory requirement (Road Act 12:11 section 22 subsection 1) of using public roads and
covers the insured against legal liability to third parties for damage to their property, death
and or bodily injury up to a statutory limit.
Full Third Party – is an extension of Third Party that extends increased limits of liability for
the insured against legal liability to third parties for damage to their property, death and
or bodily injury.
Full Third Party (Fire & Theft) – is a further extension of Third Party that extends cover to the
insured against any damage or loss caused by fire, theft or attempted theft to the insureds
vehicle.
Comprehensive/Full Cover - covers loss or damage to client’s vehicle, theft of accessories
or whole vehicle, fire and liability to third parties’ vehicles, property, bodily injury and death.
Also covered are medical expenses, litigation costs and towing charges.
Motor Fleet – A Motor Fleet Policy is offered to any entity that has 15 or more vehicles of one
or more types.
Motor Traders Combined – policy that covers motor service or repair outlets against unforeseen damage to third party vehicles while in the custody of the outlet.
Excess–Buy–Back – is an extension of cover that can be held by any insured who has a
comprehensive motor policy. This requires an additional premium payment. But it is intended to expunge the excesses that are inevitable with all claims.
